Bandi meets Shah in Delhi, told party values his contributions to Telangana BJP

HYDERABAD: Union home minister Amit Shah on Monday asked former state BJP president Bandi Sanjay Kumar to continue working hard for the party in Telangana and contribute to its success in the coming Assembly elections. Sanjay called on Shah in Delhi and discussed Telangana-related issues.

During the conversation, Shah is learnt to have said that Sanjay’s work in making the BJP a force to reckon with in Telangana had been recognised by the party. This was Sanjay’s first formal meeting with Shah after the Telangana leader was divested of his state unit post. Shah is also learnt to have told Sanjay not to be disappointed and that the party would recognise his services and that Sanjay could expect to get key responsibilities as the party prepares itself for the state elections.

Sanjay informed Shah that the party leaders in the state were united in their resolve to defeat the BRS and Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao in the Assembly elections later this year.
