Coalition existed just for HDK, Revanna, DKS, Dr G Parameshwar, says A Manju
Mysuru: Bharatiya Janata Party leader A Manju claimed here on Friday that the coalition partners in the last state government were themselves responsible for its fall.
"The coalition governemnt existed for the sake of just four people, H D Revanna, H D Kumaraswamy, Dr G Parameshwar and D K Shivakumar. And it was a single window government. Had they taken all MLAs to confidence, the coalition government would not have collapsed,” he contended, speaking to reporters here.
Responding to former Chief Minister, Siddaramaiah’s charges against JD(S) supremo, H D Deve Gowda and Mr Kumaraswamy, he said, “I told Mr Siddaramaiah what would happen if he went with the JD(S). Both he and the Congress have realised what the Deve Gowda family is like now. But it is too late.”
Defending Mr Siddaramaiah, he said he had not compromised on his principles, but had remained silent until now on the high command's orders. “Mr Gowda did not make his son CM . It was the BJP which made him CM once and the Congress, the next time. But upset at his son losing the CM's post, he is saying a lot of things now. But no one snatched it from him. The BJP is not responsible for it,” he maintained.
On telephone tapping. he said an FIR had to be filed against Mr Kumaraswamy. “Mr Gowda , despite being a former PM has defended him saying that there is a SC order, which permits it. Even if phones of anti- social elements have to be tapped, the court's permission is required. Tapping anybody's phone is wrong,”
he said.
