Kavitha asks women to question BJP over price rise
HYDERABAD: TRS MLC Kalvakuntla Kavitha on Friday urged women to question the BJP-led government at the Centre on the rising prices of essential
commodities and increasing unemployment in the country.
Addressing a public meeting at Kammarpally village in Balkonda constituency after distributing Bathukamma saris on behalf of the state government, Kavitha wondered if the BJP has any answer for the heightened inflation and unemployment.
She accused the BJP of trying to divide society on religious grounds and disrupt communal harmony in the country. She asked BJP leaders to learn from the leadership of Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao who respected and celebrated all the religions alike.
Kavitha alleged that the BJP had failed to fulfill the aspirations of the people and asked Nizamabad MP D. Arvind to tell the people how many jobs the Centre had provided to the youth. She said that the CM had given over 2 lakh jobs in the government sector and created more than a million jobs in the private sector.
She also compared Uttar Pradesh and Telangana. She said, “In Uttar Pradesh, a mere 70 lakh people among 23 crore population are getting pensions whereas in Telangana with 4 crore population 48 lakh are getting Aasara pensions ranging from Rs 2,016 to Rs 3,016.”
