Vijayawada: Minister for civil supplies Karumuri Venkata Nageswara Rao wondered why N. Chandrababu Naidu’s PA, Pendyala Srinivas, was hiding in America, which, ostensibly, is at the behest of his boss. Rao claimed that even Telugu Desam cadre accepts the involvement of Naidu in the skill development scam.
Going a step further, he suspected that Nandamuri Balakrishna and Nara Lokesh were conspiring to grab control of Telugu Desam when Naidu stays behind bars.
Addressing a press meet here on Saturday, Rao said that there was nothing wrong in arresting Naidu, who had looted public money. In the skill development scam of Rs 371 crore, Naidu was caught along with evidence, arrested and jailed, he said.
At present, the CID has taken him into their custody for a two-day interrogation. He stated that by distorting facts, a social group belonging to TD is describing his arrest as being illegal.
The minister said that if his scams, corrupt deals and arrest are brought for discussion in the Assembly, no TD member would participate. They have made it their job to go public alleging that Naidu was arrested by a factionalist government.
He claimed that even TD workers do not believe that Naidu was not involved in any corruption as his 14-year rule was loaded with scams.
Nageswara Rao wondered where Lokesh was hiding after earlier holding placards and being beside his father soon after the latter’s arrest.
Naidu had backstabbed NTR and now Balakrishna and Lokesh are ready to do likewise with Naidu, he said.
He said that Yanamala Ramakrishnudu knows everything about Naidu’s skill scam, which is why he is not opening his mouth. He recalled that the corruption cases that Pawan Kalyan spoke about on that day are now wrapped around Naidu's neck.
