Jana Sena-TD joint manifesto on November 1
KAKINADA: The Telugu Desam and Jana Sena alliance will release its joint manifesto on November 1, based on reports from district-level joint action committees of the two parties.
The joint meeting of the two parties on Tuesday passed three resolutions. One condemned the arrest of former chief minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu, another called for protecting the state from the “anarchy rule”, and the third was a promise to ensure all-round development of the state.
The meeting did not discuss how to share the posts of ministers etc if the alliance wins power.
Telugu Desam leaders Nara Lokesh, K. Achannaidu, Yanamala Ramakrishnudu, Payyavula Kesav, Pithani Satyanarayana, Thangirala Soumya and Nimmala Ramanayudu and Jana Sena leaders Pawan Kalyan, PAC chairman Nadendla Manohar, erstwhile East Godavari district JS president Kandula Durgesh, B. Mahendra Reddy, erstwhile West Godavari district president Kotikalapudi Govinda Rao, Palavalasa Yasaswi and Bommidi Nayakar were present at the first joint committee meeting.
Pawan Kalyan and Lokesh told the media they have discussed the people’s problems and would prepare a joint action plan.
Lokesh said that district-level joint committees would discuss the problems of their erstwhile districts and they submit reports. “Today, we discussed how TD and JS would go to people with a joint action plan, in a campaign lasting 100 days.
“Social injustice has been done in the past four and a half years. BCs, SCs and STs have faced harassments, insults etc during the YSRC rule,” he said.
He said 27 SC welfare schemes have been abolished by the YSRC government. “The YSRC and drought are twins. Under its rule, the crops in 34 lakh acres have perished due to negligence and non-maintenance of irrigation projects.”
Lokesh said that the surplus waters were being released into the sea and the government was not able to give it for agriculture and other purposes, he said.
Pawan Kalyan said JS was not opposing YSRC or the chief minister, but it would fight against the YSRC’s “misrule, corruption and dictatorship.” Sustainable development should be encouraged in the state. The TD - Jana Sena coalition government would ensure that.”
He said the anti-government vote should not be split. “There will be no quarrels or clashes between the JS and TD. There is a need for security, welfare and safety for the AP people, he stressed.
Answering a query on the BJP-Jana Sena alliance, Pawan Kalyan said, “Jana Sena is an NDA partner but, we are giving priority to the people rather than the party. BJP also understood my ideology and they responded to it positively. The Jana Sena and TD would be protecting the people from misrule by defeating the YSRC in the coming elections.”
He condemned the arrest of Chandrababu Naidu and said that even an accused who killed a 14-year-old boy in Bapatla district got bail, but not Chandrababu Naidu who had not committed any wrong.
