Jagan is equal to six Prashant Kishors in political strategy, say YSRC leaders
Vijayawada: Telugu Desam hiring poll strategist Prashant Kishor is no problem for the ruling YSRC, claim state ministers, adding, “CM Jagan is equal to six Kishors in framing political and election strategies.”
Ministers and YSRC legislators say the people of Andhra Pradesh are with Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy due to his implementation of welfare and development programmes in AP.
“The fact is that the TD finds itself in a weak position in the run-up to the general elections. Hence Chandrababu Naidu is making efforts to remain relevant in the state politics,” they said on Sunday.
Water resources minister Ambati Rambabu said Chandrababu lacked credibility among the public due to the “cheating and deceiving he did in the past.” The TD allied with the Jana Sena but it found there was no use with Pawan Kalyan. Now, Naidu is roping in Prashant Kishor to help TD win the polls.
"If the materials lack quality, what good action can be expected from a craftsman? The public trusted YS Jagan Mohan Reddy in 2019 and gave the YSRC a landslide victory. Jagan implemented all his poll promises despite the two years of the COVID crisis. Hence, the Andhra people have decided to re-elect the YSRC in the 2024 elections,” he claimed.
Social welfare minister Meruga Nagarjuna has said Prashant Kishor had worked for the YSRC and took money from it in the past. YSRC is not worried about Kishor’s association with TD. Jagan Reddy is himself a top political and electoral strategist, who is equal to six Prashant Kishors. Our leader (Jagan) knows how to do politics.”
He said change of candidates in constituencies happened in every party.
Minister Nagarjuna said Chandrababu and his son Nara Lokesh occupied BC-dominant constituencies by suppressing the rights of BCs.
Minister Meruga Nagarjuna asked, "What will Lokesh do with the Red Book he wrote during the padayatra?"
Housing Minister Jogi Ramesh said Naidu already had one PK (Pawan Kalyan) and now brought another PK (Prashant Kishor). The duo PKs cannot pluck anything out of YSRC in AP.
Health minister Vidadala Rajini said Naidu lost credibility and hence he brought Prashant Kishor “This political strategist cannot help Chandrababu or TD as they cheated and deceived the public repeatedly. PK cannot beat Jagan’s welfare and development and these will help YSRC to retain power in the 2024 elections.”
YSRC’s former minister Kodali Srivenkateswara Rao said, “We have been saying Chandrababu Naidu is an outdated politician. West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee sent Prashant Kishore to AP, by asking Chandrababu to join the INDIA alliance. The adopted PK (Pawan) is in talks with the BJP while another PK is in talks with the INDIA bloc, Mamata Banerjee, and the Congress. We had used Prashant Kishor to the fullest and nothing more is left in him.”
YSRC MLA and ex-minister Perni Venkataramaiah recalled that when Prashant Kishor came from Bihar and acted as the YSRC strategist, Chandrababu said ‘PK can do nothing’. “Prashant has nothing to do with IPAC as he is no longer with the IPAC team.”
