Jagan's curtain call, Naidu claims political exodus and impending defeat in 2024

Vijayawada: In a dramatic statement, Telugu Desam (TD) chief Nara Chandrababu Naidu has declared the end of Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy's reign, calling it "Jagan cinema" and predicting his exit within three months. Naidu made these bold claims at a party event welcoming leaders and activists from various opposition parties in Pedakurapadu, Tanuku, Amalapuram, and Gajapatinagaram constituencies who defected to the TD.

Naidu emphasised that the upcoming 2024 elections are not about him or his Janasena allies but a battle for the future of the state's five crore citizens. He painted a grim picture of widespread discontent across various sectors, citing farmer suicides, struggling aqua farmers, and devastated horticulture growers as examples of Jagan's alleged mismanagement.

Naidu further revealed performing two yagnas ("religious ceremonies") in the past three days, Sudarshana Narasimha Yagam and Chandi Yagam, seeking blessings for the people's well-being. He asserted his extensive experience in public service, boasting a record 14 years as Chief Minister and over 10 years as Leader of the Opposition. "My thoughts are all about the Telugu people," he declared, positioning himself as a seasoned leader dedicated to the state's welfare.
