Aarogyasri benefitting 1.40 crore people, says minister
Vijayawada: Housing minister Jogi Ramesh on Tuesday directed officials to resolve all complaints regarding Aarogyasri within the stipulated time.
“We must work towards ensuring that the aim of Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy to provide all medical services to poor and middle-class people through Dr. YSR Aarogyasri scheme is fulfilled,” Jogi Ramesh underlined while participating in YSRC government’s “Gadapa Gadapaku Mana Prabhutvam” programme at Idugullapalli of Guduru mandal of Krishna district.
The minister said around 1.40 crore people are benefiting from Aarogyasri scheme at 1,700 well-equipped hospitals in Andhra Pradesh, besides 137 corporate and 17 super speciality hospitals in Telangana.
As of now, 2,446 health procedures are covered under this scheme. There are plans to allow another 700 health procedures under Aarogyasri, Jogi Ramesh stated.
He underlined that families with an income of up to ₹5 lakh per annum are eligible for various procedures being provided under Aarogyasri.
