Job notifications in Telangana designed to fail: Bandi Sanjay

Once the BJP comes to power in Telangana, one of the first things it will do will be to release an annual job calendar, says Bandi

Hyderabad: BJP state president Bandi Sanjay Kumar on Tuesday alleged that recruitment notifications and exams in Telangana were being designed in a manner that they will fail, because the government has no intention of filling up the 1.9 lakh vacancies in the state which Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao promised that his government will fill.

Addressing a large ‘Nirudyoga march’ gathering in Mahbubnagar on Tuesday, Sanjay promised that once the BJP comes to power in Telangana, one of the first things it will do will be to release an annual job calendar.

“The government cannot even conduct exams properly. Not a single job notification has been successful. They are deliberately designed so they can be challenged. And with the TSPSC question paper leaks and exam cancellations, the future of 30 lakh youth has been placed in question by the KCR government,” he said.

The BJP, he declared, would not step back from the three demands it has been making in support of the unemployed youth who were cheated by the state government, he said. Sanjay said the party’s agitation will not stop until the government orders a probe into the TSPSC question paper leaks by a High Court judge, sacks IT minister K.T. Rama Rao from the state Cabinet, and pays Rs 1 lakh compensation to each person affected by the question paper leaks, and cancelled TSPSC exams.

“Should a government which cannot even conduct an exam properly be in power,” Sanjay asked and the crowd responded with a loud ‘no’. “The only ones who benefited in Telangana is the KCR family. Is this why we fought for Telangana statehood? For KCR’s family? There was hope of jobs, water, and funds but today the future of our youth is uncertain. Should a government that cannot hold exams properly be even allowed to be there,” he asked.

In contrast, Sanjay said, there are no problems when the Central government holds recruitment exams and the process is trouble free and under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s rozgar mela, 10 lakh jobs are being given, already 1.9 lakh recruitments have taken place.

Sanjay reiterated that a BJP government will cancel the 4 per cent reservation for Muslims as declared by Union home minister Amit Shah at the Chevella public meeting on Sunday.

The state government was appeasing the minorities, Sanjay said, adding that this could be seen from the fact that “only 2.5 guntas of land were given for the Nalla Pochamma temple in the new Secretariat complex while 5 guntas of land was given for a mosque. Once we come to power, we will build a golden temple for the goddess and make sure that the Secretariat will reflect Telangana culture.”

The rally was addressed by several senior leaders including BJP vice-president D.K. Aruna, former Mahbubnagar MP A.P. Jithender Reddy, party state general secretary D. Pradeep Kumar.
