Traffic diversion around Vijayawada today for CM Jagan's meet
VIJAYAWADA: Police will divert traffic in Vijayawada and its environs on Friday as Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy will distribute house titles for free to 51,000 poor beneficiaries at a programme near Venkateswara Temple in Thullur of Amaravati and thereafter address a public meeting.
According to police, traffic restrictions will be in place from 4 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Friday.
Heavy goods vehicles going from Chennai to Visakhapatnam via Vijayawada and towards Ibrahimpatnam, Nandigama, will be diverted via Chirala, Bapatla, Repalle, Avanigadda, Palmeru, Gudivada and Hanuman Junction from Throvagunta in Ongole district. Vehicles going to Hyderabad from Chennai should go via Medarametla, Addanki, Pidugharas, Nadikudi, Miryalaguda, Nalgonda and Narketpalli.
Vehicles going towards Visakhapatnam from Chilakalurpet will be diverted on NH-16 via Kakumanu, Ponnur, Chandolu, Cherukupalli, Bhattiprolu, Penumudi Bridge, Avanigadda, Pamarru, Gudivada and Hanuman Junction. Vehicles going from Chennai to Visakhapatnam will be diverted to Boyapalem Cross, Unnam Village, AB Palem Vallur, Pandrapadu, Ponnoor, Chandolu, Cherukupalli, Bhattiprolu, Penumudi Bridge, Avanigadda, Palmeru, Gudivada and Hanuman Junction. Vehicles going to Visakhapatnam from Guntur will be diverted via Budampadu through Tenali, Vemuru, Kollur, Vellaturu Junction, Penumudi Bridge, Avanigadda, Pamarru, Gudivada and Hanuman Junction.
Lorries and heavy vehicles going from Visakhapatnam to Chennai will be diverted from Hanuman Junction via Gudivada, Pamarru, Avanigadda, Repalle, Bapatla, Chirala, Throvagunta and Ongole. Vehicles heading towards Hyderabad from Rajahmundry will be diverted via Dewan Cheruvu, Dhavaleswaram Bridge, Kovvuru, Jangareddy Gudem, Aswaraopeta and Satthupalli. Lorries and heavy vehicles heading towards Hyderabad from Visakhapatnam will be diverted from Hanuman Junction towards Nujiveedu, Mylavaram, G. Kondur and Ibrahimpatnam.
Vehicles going from Gannavaram towards Hyderabad will be diverted towards Kesarapally, Mustabad, Inner Ring Road, Pipula Road and Ibrahimpatnam.
Hyderabad-bound vehicles from Hanuman Junction will be diverted via Gannavaram Gandhi Bomma, Agiripalli, G. Kondur and Ibrahimpatnam. Heavy goods vehicles will be diverted towards Gannavaram, Agiripalli, G. Kondur, and Ibrahimpatnam.
Vehicles going towards Chennai from the Hyderabad side have to go via Narketpalli, Nalgonda, Miryalaguda, Nadikudi, Piduguralla, Addanki and Medarametla. Lorries and heavy vehicles going to Visakhapatnam from the Hyderabad side will be allowed from Ibrahimpatnam at G. Konduru, Mylavaram, Nuziveedu and Hanuman Junction.
Multi-axle goods vehicles going towards Visakhapatnam from Chennai will be halted at Chilakaluripet, Ongole and Nellore near National Highway without any diversion. These vehicles will be allowed to move after 4 p.m. Multi-axle vehicles going from Visakhapatnam towards Chennai will be stopped at Hanuman Junction and Pottipadu toll gate. They can proceed after 4 p.m.
Parking of vehicles
Vehicles coming from the Pedakakani side to Tulluru mandal for the CM’s programme should be parked at Venkatapalem. Vehicles coming from Takkellapadu, Uppalapadu, Namburu, Agataharapadu, and Takkellapadu should come from Kantheru Tadikonda, Pedaparimi, Thullur to Rayapudi Seed Access Road from Koppuravuru.
Vehicles coming from Mangalagiri, Khaja, Atmakuru, Pedavadlapudi, Nidamarru, Kurakallu, VIT College Junction and behind Assembly should come to Seed Access via Velagapudi Church Centre.
Vehicles coming from Tadepalli should come from inside AIIMS Hospital Mangalagiri Bridge, Don Bosco School, Yerrabalem, Krishnayapalem, Mandam, take a right near Velagapudi Church and come to Seed Access N9 Junction. Vehicles from Vijayawada side should take Krishnayapalem road via Undavalli, Undavalli Caves, Penumaka, take the right to the Metal road and reach Venkatapalem parking place.
Vehicles coming from the Vijayawada side via Vijayawada AIIMS should go via Brahmanandapuram Railway Gate. Nulakapeta Undavalli Centre and Undavalli Caves to Seed Access Road.
