HYDERABAD: In the wake of rumours doing the rounds that senior leaders like former TPCC president N. Uttam Kumar Reddy and K. Jana Reddy would join the BRS, owing to resentment with the state party leadership, AICC Telangana in-charge Manikrao Thakre met them in person at their residences to learn for himself where they stood.
When contacted Uttam Kumar Reddy said the senior leader had called on him owing to his ill-health.
The Congress has been boosted by the prospects for senior leaders from other parties joining it. Any defection could hit that momentum, with Assembly elections less than six months, and the Congress is working towards keeping its leaders together.
