KAKINADA: Nara Brahmani, wife of Telugu Desam General Secretary Nara Lokesh, said on Sunday that Jana Sena and Telugu Desam should work like brothers and jointly oust the YSRC from power.
Jana Sena leaders like its East Godavari president Kandula Durgesh, Peddapuram incharge Tummala Babu, Varupula Tammayya and others met Brahmani on Sunday in Rajamahendravaram and expressed their solidarity with the family of arrested TD chief Chandrababu Naidu. They condemned the arrest and said it was illegal.
They said that a combined fight was required to face the YSRC. Brahmani told them that the conditions in the state had worsened under the present government. “I had read all the documents and reports of the CID against Chandrababu Naidu but not even a small evidence could be found against Chandrababu,” she said.
She said the case booked against Chandrababu was politically motivated and a vindictive act. “Now, there are no jobs for the youths, but use of ganja and drugs is rampant in AP,” she said.
Jana Sena leaders Mootha Sashidhar, Thota Sudhir, Pithani Balakrishna, Tangella Udaya Srinivas, Polisetty Chandrasekhar, Ganta Rani, Bathula Balaramakrishna, Vasireddy Siva, Marreddy Srinivas and others were present.
Former home minister and Telugu Desam senior leader introduced the JS leaders to Brahmani.
JS leader Kandula Durgesh told Deccan Chronicle that a coordination committee with both party leaders would be formed to organise agitations against the ruling YSRC. The committee would take a decision on the future course of action like allotment of seats in coming elections, he felt.
