Belagavi: State JD(S) chief, H D Kumaraswamy is under pressure to contest from an assembly segment in Hubballi against former Chief Minister, Jagadish Shettar by his legislators headed by Mr Basavaraj Horatti, who feel it will help the chances of the party in North Karnataka. “As it is clear now that Mr Kumaraswamy will be contesting from North Karnataka, we are trying to persuade him to take on Shettar here,” Mr Horatti told reporters, adding that the BJP leader had to be taught a fitting lesson at the polls as he had done little for the development of the region.
