Hyderabad: TPCC working president Mahesh Kumar Goud confirmed that AICC leader Priyanka Gandhi-Vadra would address the Palamuru Praja Bheri public meeting in Kollapur on October 31, while Rahul Gandhi will visit the state in the first week of November for the second leg of the party’s Vijayabheri bus yatra.
Addressing the media, he said, “Priyanka Gandhi will proceed to Kollapur on October 31 after arriving at the Shamshabad airport.”
With regard to the bus yatra, he said: “AICC Telangana in-charge Manikrao Thakre, TPCC president A. Revanth Reddy and party MPs Komatireddy Venkat Reddy and Uttam Kumar Reddy will join the bus yatra on October 26 and 27. It will cover two Assembly constituencies per day.”
The second phase of the Vijayabheri bus yatra will start from October 28 and the schedule will be released soon. He said the party’s central election committee will meet on Wednesday and the will decide the selection of candidates.
He said the screening committee would look into the selection of candidate for the Nizamabad Urban ticket. The minorities communities were seeking the Adilabad, Nizamabad and Mahbubnagar seats. “The minorities are looking towards the Congress and the party will take care of their interests,” he said.
“The decision of the CEC will be final. All strong candidates are set to get tickets in the second list,” Niranjan said, adding, “We are all set to capture power and bag the maximum seats and form government on December 9.”
