YSRC Bus Yatra to counter false' propaganda, propagate welfare and development
Vijayawada: Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy has asked the rank and file of the ruling YSRC to highlight the party’s and state government’s programmes for the SC, ST, BC and minorities during the Samajika Sadhikara Bus Yatra from Thursday.
He also asked them to effectively counter the “false” propaganda of the opposition parties against the YSRC during the yatras undertaken by Nara Bhuvaneswari (Nijam Gelavali), Nara Lokesh (Bhavishytthu Ku Guarantee) and Pawan Kalyan.
“In the past 53 months, our government has given a new meaning to social justice by giving top place to BC, SC, ST and minorities from Cabinet to nominated posts. A lion's share of these posts was given to these categories, the Chief Minister said, and asked his party leaders and cadres to give due publicity to such steps.
Senior YSRC leaders like housing minister Jogi Ramesh, social welfare minister Merugu Nagarjuna, municipal administration minister Adimulapu Suresh and former minister Kolusu Parthasarathy, along with leaders Hanumantu Naik and SM Ziauddin, unveiled the "Samajika Sadhikara Yatra" campaign poster on Wednesday with fanfare from Tadepalli.
The YSRC claims the aim is to bring together the marginalised communities and address the socio-economic disparities.
They officially flagged off the Bus Yatra, with a traditional pre-launch puja—after which they boarded the bus. Notably, minister Jogi Ramesh drove the bus, while other leaders waved the party flags.
Minister Ramesh said the bus yatra would commence from three regions simultaneously on Thursday. “There is going to be a war between the poor and the rich,” the minister said.
He criticised the 'Nijam Gelavali' campaign of Bhuvaneswari on behalf of the TD, saying "it would be better if they did a ‘Papa Parihara Yatra (sin cleansing campaign) to atone for the acts like back-stabbing of NTR by Naidu.
Minister Nagarjuna said the number of attacks on Dalits during Chandrababu's term was the highest. “The lives of the poor have changed for the better under the YSRC rule. Jagan Mohan Reddy as chief minister is very necessary for AP. The poor can survive only if Jagan Mohan Reddy is back as CM,” he said.
Minister Adimulapu Suresh said, "Chandrababu has used BCs as his vote bank and deprived the children of the poor an opportunity to study in English medium. Babu also objected to the poor having houses in Amaravati and did not even allow them to enter the temples.”
Former minister Kolusu Parthasarathy underscored Jagan Mohan Reddy's commitment to providing resources to the marginalised communities.
Reiterating CM Jagan Mohan Reddy's message, Former MLA S.M. Ziauddin called upon the people to make the Bus Yatra a success, emphasising that the upcoming elections would be a class war, a battle between the rich and the poor.
