TRS leaving no stone unturned to win Karimnagar MLC polls
KARIMNAGAR: Having had the bitter experience of losing the Huzurabad by-election recently, ruling Telangana Rashtra Samithi is not leaving anything to chance on winning the two MLC seats from erstwhile Karimnagar district.
Going by maths, TRS can win both these seats hands down; yet, it has decided to hold its voters in “camps”.
There is fear that aspirants for the two MLC seats, who have been denied nomination by the ruling party, may queer the pitch for TRS through cross voting. Similarly, though opposition parties BJP and Congress are not in fray for council polls from Karimnagar, they might still work for ruling party’s defeat.
There is also discontentment, particularly among MPTCs, ZPTCs and councillors of various municipalities; that the government has not allocated them funds to spend in their respective areas. Their unhappiness may find expression in terms of their voting pattern in MLC elections
