CM Jagan to Welcome PM Modi to Tirupati
VIJAYAWADA: Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy will be in Tirupati on Sunday to welcome Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the Renigunta Airport. The Prime Minister would visit Tirumala and, after an overnight stay, offer prayers at the temple of Lord Venkateswara on Monday.
The PM would leave for Secunderabad on Monday. In view of the PM visit, the TTD announced that VIP break darshans are cancelled on November 27.
The Prime Minister would reach the Tirupati airport at 6.50 pm from Dundigal, near Hyderabad, and proceed to the temple town for the night’s stay. He will offer prayers at the temple around 8 am the following day. Modi is likely to spend about 45 minutes inside the temple.
After darshan, the PM will return to the guesthouse. He will leave Tirumala at 9.30 am and reach Tirupati airport at 10.20 am for onward journey to the Hakimpet airport in Secunderabad.
The Chief Minister would arrive at the Tirupati airport at 6.15 pm on Sunday evening to receive the PM. He will leave for Gannavaram at 7.10 pm.
According to the sources, AP’s Cabinet ministers, MPs and important leaders will also be present at the airport to welcome the PM.
PM Modi is scheduled to stay at Sri Rachana guesthouse in Tirumala after reaching the hill town by road. On November 27, he will have darshan of the Lord at 8 am and depart to the airport at 10.25 am and fly to Hakimpet in Telanaga state to attend an election campaign.
The Tirupati district police have made elaborate security arrangements for the visit of the Prime Minister. In addition to the deployment of bomb disposal squads and carrying out combing operations on both the ghat roads and footpaths, additional security forces have been deployed.
