Minister promises to resolve drinking water problem
Vijayawada: Housing minister Jogi Ramesh visited Mallampudi village in Krishna district on Friday under the Jagan Mohan Reddy government’s flagship Gadapa Gadapaku Mana Prabhutvam programme.
He interacted with the villagers, explaining the benefits of various schemes rolled out by the YSRC government. The villagers took the issues to the notice of the minister and he promised to address them soon.
Minister Ramesh praised Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy for fulfilling all the promises he made to the people during his padayatra. “The CM has delivered more than what was promised in terms of development and welfare, to keep the people happy,” he claimed.
Ramesh said immediate steps were being taken to address the problem of safe drinking water in Mallampudi village. He promised to provide drinking water to every house by installing pipelines through the Jala Jeevan Mission scheme at a cost of Rs 39.80 lakh.
He assured the villagers that the funds allocated by the government to the secretariats for internal drainage, construction of roads and installation of electricity poles in the villages will be fully utilised for the desired purposes.
Some villagers told the minister that they were not allotted house plots. Ramesh asked the concerned officials to allocate house plots to those who did not get.
