Pawan campaigns for BJP in Telangana
Hyderabad: Jana Sena Party founder Pawan Kalyan stressed the importance of achieving social justice in Telangana, a state formed through a prolonged struggle. He commended the BJP for announcing a BC (Backward Class) community candidate as Chief Minister, if it won the elections.
Addressing party cadre during the campaign for the Tandur candidate Nemuri Shankar Goud, Pawan Kalyan stated, “Telangana will only prosper if justice is extended to all sections of the people. I draw inspiration from the spirit of the Telangana armed struggle, which enables me to confront challenges in Andhra Pradesh. The songs of balladeer Gaddar have been central to my political journey."
He said that the BJP had assured MRPS founder Manda Krishna Madiga that it would safeguard the interests of the Scheduled Caste community by bringing categorisation of reservations.
Praising the BJP for having appointed 31 Chief Ministers over the years, Pawan Kalyan expressed concern about the Dr Y.S. Rajashekar Reddy regime, alleging that the state was plundered under the guise of Jala Yagnam. He urged against a recurrence of such a situation in Telangana.
Pawan Kalyan also participated in the campaign for BJP candidate Kuna Srisailam Goud in Quthbullapur, urging the people to grant him a significant majority.
