Revanth to Tour Districts, Attend Sabhas for Selecting 6G Beneficiaries

HYDERABAD: Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy is likely to tour districts from December 28 to January 8 to take part in grama/ward sabhas as part of the ‘Praja Palana’ initiative of the government to seek applications from potential beneficiaries to avail of benefits under Congress’ Six Guarantees.

This will be Reddy’s first visit to districts after assuming the office of the Chief Minister on December 7. Following his swearing-in, Reddy has been busy streamlining the administration and taking part in Legislative Assembly sessions till December 21, which was soon followed by a meeting with collectors and police chiefs of all districts on December 24.

As part of the decisions taken in this period, the selection of beneficiaries for government schemes at grama and ward sabhas was decided to increase transparency in governance.

Reddy asked ministers, MLAs and collectors to provide pro-people administration in respective districts and constituencies, and try to resolve the grievances being faced by people at their level so that people are not forced to visit Hyderabad for redressal of every grievance.

CMO sources said that Reddy is planning to cover all 10 erstwhile undivided districts to attend the sabhas and interact with people to know their grievances.

Reddy also sought daily reports from collectors on the number of applications received in these meetings, the number of applications received for each Congress guarantee and action taken reports (ATRs), after scrutiny of applications.
