Pawan Kalyan asks youth to rise above caste, separatism
VIJAYAWADA: Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan on Thursday called upon the youth to rise above castes and warned against the scourge of separatism that led to the carving out of Telangana.
Addressing party supporters after unfurling the national flag on the 74th Republic Day at the JS office in Mangalagiri, Pawan Kalyan asked the youth to be wary of conspiracies and those advocating separatism.
The Jana Sena chief reacted sharply to demands for a special state for north Andhra by minister Dharmana Prasada Rao and separate Rayalaseema by Byreddy Rajasekhar Reddy.
Pawan Kalyan said, “I urge the youth in the state not to get carried away by demands being raised by practitioners of opportunistic politics. Our party must strongly face those intending to stir up trouble based on castes, religions, and regions. If the leaders continue to advocate separatist tendencies, they might have to see the most dangerous terrorist in me,” he declared.
The JS president advised these leaders to instead raise issues like the migration of people from Kurnool, water for Rayalaseema, and steel factory in Kadapa. He stressed on political stability if AP is to witness development like Tamil Nadu, Gujarat and Karnataka.
Referring to arson in the Konaseema region where the house of a minister had been torched and critical remarks of a ruling party leader in Rajamahendravaram undermining castes, Pawan Kalyan underlined that every caste has its own self-respect. “People in the state must develop love and affection towards AP and not castes,” he advised.
The Jana Sena chief maintained that he is a staunch believer in Sanatana Dharma. He advised leaders not to hurt the sentiments of Hindus under the guise of secularism. He maintained that Jana Sena is coming up with many political strategies to ensure that Andhra Pradesh has a bright future.
On the day, YSR Congress corporator Kandula Nagaraju of Greater Visakhapatnam Municipal Corporation joined the Jana Sena Party along with his supporters. Pawan Kalyan welcomed him into the party fold by felicitating him with a shawl.
