BJP state vice-president condemns atrocities of women in Telangana
Hyderabad: BJP state vice-president N.V.S.S. Prabhakar said that atrocities on women of every age group have been increasing at an alarming rate in Telangana state.
Speaking at a Mahila Gosa-BJP Bharosa programme in Kushaiguda here on Sunday, he said that women and college girls have become soft targets for criminals, which has resulted in a high suicide rate. There have been many instances of ragging in colleges, he said, while women self-help groups are unable to get loans.
Prabhakar said that even Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan was targeted on political lines, he said. Prabhakar said that a suicide attempt by a medico in Kakatiya Medical College shows the vulnerability of girls in educational institutions.
BJP Mahila Morcha leaders Kasula Rama Devi, Tirumala, Tejasi and others were present
