Kurnool: Tense situation prevailed at Kosigi in Mantralayam Assembly segment after two groups within TD got into a fight over putting up of flexies on Tuesday in connection with the arrival of Telugu Desam general secretary Nara Lokesh into the town as part of his ongoing Yuvagalam padayatra.
Those who clashed are supporters of TD’s assembly segment in-charge P. Tikka Reddy and party’s local leader Gothuladoddi Uligayya. It is said two people have been injured in the incident.
Party’s Kurnool district president Somisetty Venkateswarlu intervened and resolved the issue.
Kosigi sub-inspector Raja Reddy said two groups argued over flexies prior to the arrival of Lokesh’s padayatra into Kosigi. He said no complaints have been received in this regard.
