Justice won against cruel plot of TRS: Bandi on HC allowing yatra
Warangal: BJP state president Bandi Sanjay Kumar on Thursday welcomed the High Court verdict allowing him to continue his Praja Sangram Yatra after the police had issued a notice prohibiting the same on Wednesday.
“The TRS government made a cruel plot to stop the yatra. But the BJP had a lot of confidence in the courts. A verdict was given in favour of BJP,” he said.
Saying that “justice is on our side”, Sanjay hit out at Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao at a press meet in Huzurabad of Karimnagar. “How can he criticise the Prime Minister while speaking at government programmes? Why is he not speaking about the promises he did not fulfil over the past eight years? Is it fair for KCR to call the BJP a communal party?” he said.
Sanjay claimed that vexed people were not interested in attending the Chief Minister’s rallies or meetings. “Even vendors who sell food items (at TRS rallies) are facing a loss with KCR not attracting crowds,” Sanjay said.
He questioned the pace of developmental works in Ranga Reddy district, seeking information on the number of beneficiaries of double-bedroom houses, fund allotments and Mission Bhagiratha water supply over the past eight years.
Sanjay said that Rao, in alliance with the then Andhra Pradesh chief minister, betrayed the people of Telangana by agreeing to share 575 tmc ft of Krishna water, with Telangana getting 299 TMC ft.
He alleged that the CM, in cahoots with the MIM leaders, was encouraging communal events in the state, citing the programme of comic Munawar Faruqui, who cracked jokes on Hindu goddesses.
The BJP state chief said that the public must be aware of the CM’s gimmicks and they must attend the BJP events in large numbers, starting with the final day of the Praja Sangram Yatra at the Arts and Science College in Hanamkonda on August 27.
