BJP's Bidhuri Meets Nadda Amid Row Over Parliament Remark
BJP MP Ramesh Bidhuri met party chief J.P. Nadda Monday after his derogatory remarks against BSP MP Danish Ali at the special session of Parliament drew severe criticism from the Opposition parties.
Mr Bidhuri met Mr Nadda at the BJP headquarters days after he was issued a showcause notice by the party for his remarks. There was no official word on what transpired at the meeting.
Many BJP MPs have written to Speaker Om Birla alleging that Mr Ali had “instigated” Mr Bidhuri, and demanded that a probe he held into his utterances as well.
Meanwhile, Mr Ali on Monday questioned the “delay” in action against Mr Bidhuri and alleged that his comments seem to have been “sanctioned” by the BJP’s top leadership. He also claimed that evidence was being “dug up” against him from that day when the incident took place.
