400 Cong., BJP activists join BRS in Kamareddy
Kamareddy: Joinings from opposition parties into the ruling party have been continuing in the Kamareddy Assembly constituency. Around 400 activists of the BJP and Congress activists joined the BRS in the presence of government whip and MLA Gampa Govardhan and MLC Sheri Subhash Reddy in Kamareddy on Wednesday. Of them, around 300 activists were from Sangameshwar, Sitarampally and Ambaripet villages in Domakonda mandal and 100 from Rameshwarpally.
Speaking on the occasion, the Kamareddy MLA challenged the opposition leaders to show the development works and welfare schemes being implemented in Telangana in any BJP and Congress-ruled states and welfare schemes. Even Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s home state Gujarat had failed to supply quality power, he criticised.
K. Chandrashekar Rao is the only Chief Minister in the country to ensure farmer-friendly initiatives, he said, urging the party cadres to work hard for the record majority for KCR in Kamareddy. BRS district president Mujeebuddin, senior leader Tirmal Reddy and others were present.
