Ambati asks TD to seek CBI probe in skill development scam
Kakinada: State water resources minister Ambati Rambabu has advised Telugu Desam and Jana Sena to seek a CBI probe into the skill development scam in which former chief minister N. Chandrababu Naidu is an accused, in case they feel Naidu’s arrest by AP CID is illegal.
Speaking to media on Thursday evening at Rajamahendravaram, Rambabu charged that Chandrababu Naidu has never been truthful in his political career. If Naidu’s wife Bhuvaneswari wants the truth to win (Nijam Gelavali), Naidu should reveal the truth.
The minister accused BJP state president D. Purandeswari of shedding political ethics in the interest of her sister Bhuvaneswari and brother-in-law Chandrababu Naidu. He said Purandeswari is acting as a mediator between New Delhi and Naravaripalle.
He maintained that whatever liquor brands being sold in AP had been approved by Chandrababu Naidu when he was the chief minister. He asked Purandeswari to explain which liquor brands do not spoil the health of an individual. He said all transactions in liquor shops are done with transparency. There is no illegality even of single pie.
Rambabu asserted that Chandrababu Naidu’s arrest is legal and proper. CID produced Naidu in court within 24 hours of his arrest. The former CM’s bail has been rejected by courts, even though senior Supreme Court advocates have argued on behalf of Naidu.
He found fault with Bhuvaneswari comments that Chandrababu Naidu did not take care of her family while making sacrifices for people. He pointed out that Naidu had made Lokesh a minister.
The minister ridiculed claims that 155 persons have died after the arrest of the TDP chief.
