Botsa inspects arrangements for Pydithalli Ammavari Jatara
Visakhapatnam: Education minister Botsa Satyanarayana on Wednesday inspected arrangements being made for the three-day Sri Sri Pydithalli Ammavari Jatara in Vizianagaram, starting from Sunday, October 29.
The minister, along with deputy speaker Kolagatla Veerabhadra Swamy, zilla parishad chairman Majji Srinivasa Rao, mayor Vijayalakshmi, and district collector Nagalakshmi unveiled the festival leaflets, invitations and flex designs at the auditorium in the collectorate.
Botsa directed electricity department superintendent engineer Lakshmana Rao to ensure uninterrupted power supply throughout the city during the three-day festival.
The minister asked the municipal commissioner to ensure proper sanitation, including temporary toilets. Keeping in mind the rush of devotees, health authorities have been advised to set up a medical camp, with emergency medicines and vehicles on standby.
The festival will be held at 13 venues for three days. This year's speciality is that there will be a circus, apart from an exhibition of DWCRA handloom products, at Mansas Ground at Lower Tank Bund.
The exhibition will have 250 stalls from 18 states, including AP. The exhibition will be inaugurated on October 28 and continue till November 8.
