Swami Paripoornananda says TRS candidate suppressing voices of dissent
KUMARAM BHEEM ASIFABAD: Swami Paripoornananda of the BJP slammed former MLA Koneru Konappa of the TRS for suppressing the voices of whoever tried to question him on corruption. The Sri Peetham seer was speaking at a meeting in Kagaznagar town.
He said Sirpur (T) had been facing bad times since 2014 and it was high time to get rid of their bad luck by electing BJP candidate Kottapalli Srinivas. Swami Paripoornananda said BJP candidates were concerned about the future of the people of their constituencies.
He added that the contesting candidate Koneru Konappa of TRS was the richest person in the constituency and had amassed huge wealth. He had filed SC and ST cases against persons who questioned him although he did not belong to SC and BC communities.
The BJP leader alleged that Mr Konappa was creating obstacles for BJP programmes with the help of the local police. He said the police was helpless and was acting on the instructions being given by top officials and the Nizam (Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao) sitting in Hyderabad.
He alleged Mr Konappa had said that he was ready to pay a bribe of Rs 5,000 per vote to win the elections. He questioned from where did Mr Konappa get this huge amount of money and if it was from his native village Guntur.
The BJP leader said Mr Chandrasekhar Rao had prepared to take rest and people should let him do so since he was accustomed to sleeping. His administration of four years indicated the same.
