BJP to offer free Ram Mandir darshan to Maharashtra voters
Mumbai: Maharashtra BJP has planned to offer citizens free darshan of Ram Mandir at Ayodhya before Lok Sabha elections next year. It has decided to book 68 special trains to take people from all 48 Lok Sabha seats in Maharashtra to the temple town in Uttar Pradesh.
After the inauguration of the Ram Mandir on January 22, the people will be taken to Ayodhya from the last week of January to February 2024. The party has also arranged food and accommodation for the citizens in Ayodhya.
Last week, the Maharashtra BJP held a two day session of Lok Sabha and Vidhan Sabha election in-charges at Rambhau Mhalgi Prabodhini in Thane district. The brain storming session was addressed by Maharashtra deputy chief minister Devendra Fadnavis and state BJP chief Chandrashekhar Bawankule among other top leaders. The plan to offer Ram Mandir visit was discussed in the meeting.
A senior BJP leader, who attended this meeting, requesting anonymity said that the in-charge of all Vidhan Sabha and Lok Sabha seats have been asked to prepare a list of citizens for “free darshan” of lord Ram in Ayodhya. “1,400 people from each constituency of Maharashtra Vidhan Sabha will be taken to Ayodhya,” he said.
Another senior BJP leader said that the party has roped in 600 party workers to make registration of citizens for Lord Ram darshan.
“In addition to this, Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) and Vishva Hindu Parishad (VHP) have also been reaching out to the Hindus in rural and urban areas in the state with invitation of Ram Mandir darshan,” said an RSS functionary, who had attended a three-day meeting of the Akhil Bharatiya Karyakari Mandal of RSS in Bhuj earlier in this month. The VHP is making arrangements for food and accommodation in Ayodhya from January 27, 2024 to February 22,2024 for the citizens, who would come to seek blessings of Lord Ram.
According to a party insider, Maharashtra BJP’s Uttar Bharatiya Morcha has been entrusted with the responsibility to coordinate for free darshan. “Special trains will be arranged by Mr. Fadnavis and Mr. Bawankule,” he said.
When contacted, Maharashtra BJP’s Uttar Bharatiya Morcha chief Sanjay Pandey said, “We have been asked to make a plan to take the followers and believers of lord Ram to Ayodhya for darshan. We have been reaching out to every citizen across the state.”
