Warangal: For past three decades, Madiga Reservation Porata Samithi (MRPS) has been fighting for categorisation within the scheduled castes. But neither Congress governments in the past nor the BRS government have ever taken any initiative in this regard, said Manda Krishna Madiga, founder president of Madiga Reservation Porata Samithi (MRPS).
Addressing a Sakala Janula Vijaya Sankalp Sabha conducted as part of the election campaign by BJP candidates Errabelli Pradeep Rao of Warangal East and Rao Padma of Warangal West assembly constituencies at a private function hall in Hanamkonda on Sunday, Krishna Madiga thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi for forming a special committee for categorisation of SCs.
The MRPS president accused Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao of not keeping his promise of making a Dalit leader the first CM of Telangana and distributing three acres of land to poor Dalit families.
“Now, BRS party is playing a new drama in the name of Dalit Bandhu scheme. Both BRS and Congress have treated people of scheduled castes as their vote bank. People should teach both these parties a fitting lesson in the coming assembly elections,” Krishna Madiga underlined.
He maintained that BJP is the only party which understands the problems of SCs. That is the reason why MRPS is extending its support to BJP in the coming assembly elections, he added.
