TS Has Become a Victim of Family Rule: Nadda
Hyderabad: BJP president J.P. Nadda said the state was formed after a long struggle but had become a victim of family rule because of corruption, and development had ground to a halt.
Addressing a public meeting in Huzurnagar, he said, “Appeasement is happening in Telangana. The Dharani website is being used to grab assigned land whose value has increased. The Kaleshwaram project has been turned into an ATM by increasing its cost. The condition of the project is such that pillars of the project are sinking.”
Nadda said that Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao had stopped the Fasal Bima Yojana, the crop insurance scheme, and funds from the central housing scheme were diverted in the name of the double bedroom scheme which was not implemented.
“The people should remember that the Congress is not a better option. They had shot dead 369 youths in the 1960s and then caused the death of 1,200 youth by delaying Telangana statehood,” the BJP chief said at the meeting held to support of party candidate Challa Srilatha Reddy.
Explaining the schemes of the Centre, he said, “LPG will be given for Rs 400 per cylinder. We will hold the TSPSC recruitment tests transparently and give jobs in six months. Both the Congress and BRS are corrupt parties.”
The Centre had passed the women’s reservation bill, he said. “We gave the Antyodaya Anna scheme, the PM Awas Yojana, PM Ujwala Yojana, PM Ayushman Bharat, Jal Jeevan Mission. National highways were built through Telangana.”
Nadda said that farmers would get enhanced minimum support price for paddy. “We will give free laptops to college youth. We will also celebrate September 17th as Liberation Day from the Razakars,” he said.
