Top YSRC leaders confident of party winning MLC elections
TIRUPATI: YSR Congress party regional coordinator and MLA Balineni Srinivas Reddy, Deputy Chief Minister K.K. Narayana Swamy, and ministers Peddireddy Ramachandra Reddy and R.K. Roja on Sunday expressed confidence that YSRC will emerge victorious in elections to the State Legislative Council, as the ruling party has the support of all sections of people due to implementation of various schemes for their welfare.
A meeting of YSRC leaders, ministers, MLAs, graduates and teachers MLC candidates P. Shyam Prasad Reddy and P. Chandrasekhar Reddy, apart from party rank and file had been held to review preparedness for elections in East Rayalaseema graduates and teachers’ constituencies on Sunday.
Addressing the gathering, minister Peddireddy underlined that despite the state's revenue taking a hit following the outbreak of Coronavirus, Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy continued implementing all his electoral promises. He asked the party’s rank and file to take the YSRC government’s achievements to the public and expose the opposition’s bogus propaganda against the Jagan regime.
Party’s regional coordinator Balineni Srinivas Reddy stated that CM Jagan has prioritised backward classes and allocated 11 MLC seats to candidates from BC groups. He called on party cadres to work from the mandal level to ensure YSRC candidates' victory in the MLC elections.
