Attacks with the support of CM, says YSRC
Vijayawada: SRC leaders K. Prathasaradhi and Vellampalli Sreenivas on Sunday questioned the government why the police had not registered cases against the elected representatives in Saturday’s incident at the RTA office.
Speaking to the media, they alleged that the attacks on officials were being encouraged by the Chief Minister. “There is no security for IPS officers. How can a common man expect security,” they asked. They demanded that the Chief Minister answer how hundreds of illegal buses were plying in the state.
They said the police had not filed a case against TD MP J.C. Diwakar Reddy when he created a ruckus in the airport but booked YSRC president Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, while he was trying to elicit the facts from the district collector, at Nandigama following a bus accident in which 11 persons were killed.
Mr Parthasarathy asked the commissioner to reveal the facts which he had mentioned previously. “What prompted the commissioner to suppress the facts now,” he asked.
Former minister Dharmana Prasada Rao and APCC general secretary Janga Gautham also demanded file criminal cases against MP Kesineni Srinivas and MLA Bonda Uma Maheswar Rao.
