I'm continuing in Congress only because of Gandhi family: Jagga Reddy
HYDERABAD: Congress leader T. Jagga Reddy, who of late has stayed away from party activities, appeared to be sulking when he woefully recalled “old times”.
“It has been five months now since things have changed and nothing is the same. Right now, I am completely focusing on my constituency,” the Sangareddy MLA said.
Speaking exclusively with the Deccan Chronicle, the veteran leader said that he was continuing in Congress only because of his admiration for the Gandhi family.
The MLA, however, said that neither was he planning to join any party nor float a party of his own. “There could be differences among the family members, but we stay together. No one knows what is in the future,” he added.
Taking a trip down memory lane, he recalled the days when he enjoyed his work at the Gandhi Bhavan, the party’s state office. “We used to have several discussions with senior leaders on important issues,” he said, sharing his thoughts with the top party leader who attended an Iftar party organized by him.
