YSRC leaders support MP Avinash
ANANTAPUR: Even as YSRC and TD leaders are making charges against each other in the Y.S. Vivekananda Reddy murder case, Kadapa MP Y.S. Avinash Reddy, who is being questioned by CBI in the case, held a meeting with several leaders of his party in Pulivendula on Wednesday.
Deputy Chief Minister Amzad Basha and several YSRC MLAs were present at the meeting. MLA Rachamallu Prasad Reddy charged that Avinash Reddy is being targeted deliberately with ulterior political motives.
Prasad Reddy and other YSRC leaders demanded that CBI conduct a free and fair investigation into the case instead of deviating from original facts.
However, TD leader B. Tech Ravi from Pulivendula accused Avinash Reddy of trying to misuse his powers to wriggle out of the case, despite playing a role in the murder of Vivekananda Reddy.
Meanwhile, YSRTP chief Y.S. Sharmila has expressed hope that her sister Sunitha will soon get justice. Sharmila objected to social media trolls in the case related to Vivekananda Reddy, whom she described as a great leader.
Sharmila said: "All properties of Vivekananda Reddy are in the name of Sunitha and her children. There is no need for her to kill her father for property,” she remarked.
