Etala: KCR trying to create confusion in opposition parties
HYDERABAD: BJP MLA Etala Rajender said that the defeat of Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao was his aim. “The BJP will definitely come to power in Telangana as the people have decided to teach fitting lesson to the BRS,” he told reporters. “BRS believes in money power, it lacks peoples’ support.”
Following up on his wife’s allegations of a threat to his life from BRS MLC P. Kaushik Reddy, Rajendar alleged that the BRS leader had given a Rs 20 crore supari for his murder. “I am a people's man and they will protect me not police”, he said. “Gangster Nayeem had conducted a recce to eliminate me, but I did not bother it.”
On his reported tussle with the state party leadership, Rajendar said that difference of opinions was common in political parties. “I did not join the BJP expecting any posts,”, he said. “I did not switch my loyalties from the BRS to the BJP voluntarily. The BRS high command expelled me,” he said.
Replying to a question, Rajendar said that he had visited Delhi whenever the party high command had called him.
He said that Chandrashekar Rao was creating confusion in Opposition parties to wipe them out them. “But it is impossible, as people decided to defeat KCR,” he said. Aasara pensioners were asking for jobs for their grand children and farmers were seeking remunerative prices for their crops and not only Rythu Bandhu, he said.
Rajendar said tenant farmers were are unable to get any benefit from the BRS government. Rao while changing ‘ab ki baar kisan sarkar’ in other states had ignored them in Telangana.
Rajender said that the state government employees had lost their self-respect under the BRS government rule. RTC and Indira Kranthi Patham employees were unable to get either hike in salaries or a pay revision commission.
The poor people had lost their land due to the Dharani portal. No pattas issued to the lands assigned to the SC and ST communities, he added. Meanwhile, Rao and his relatives and followers were grabbing assignment land.
He said that as stated by BJP president J.P. Nadda, action would be against the Dharani portal after the BJP came to power, he explained.
The BJP MLA pointed out that there was no entry for MLAs or journalists in the Secretariat. Rajendar demanded that the CM tender apology to the Mudiraj community for derogatory comments made by BRS MLC P. Kaushik Reddy.
