Prime Minister Narendra Modi targeted BRS President and Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao and said that if people wanted to benefit the latter’s daughter, they can vote for the BRS as they wished.
“If you want to benefit your son, daughter, grandson, granddaughter and other kin, then make it a point to vote for the BJP,” he said.
Modi was addressing party workers in Bhopal where elections are due later this year. Coming down heavily on the opposition leaders, he said that he would not spare any corrupt leader and take action against every scamster.
Modi’s remarks come days after the opposition party meeting in Patna. He said: “All the corrupt politicians joined their hands at the Patna meeting. The opposition leaders are trying to escape the anti-scam crackdown. The corrupt leaders are trying to save each other by getting united.”
Leaders of around 15 opposition parties held “anti-BJP” meeting in Patna on June 23.
