Be United and Topple BRS, AICC Observer tells Adilabad Leaders
Nirmal: AICC observer for Adilabad Parliament constituency, Prakash Rathod from Karnataka, on Sunday urged ticket aspirants against leaving the party if they do not get the nomination and called for a united fight in the elections.
He was addressing a review meeting with the leaders and aspirants of all the ten Assembly constituencies and DCC presidents.
Rathod said the country was looking to Telangana, where the Congress would win. The Congress will come to power at the Centre if it wins in Telangana, he said.
The Congress leader said that they would replicate the strategies that worked in Karnataka. He appealed to the leaders to take all the declarations announced in Telangana to the masses and campaign about them, especially on social media.
Rathod asked the party leaders to give priority to social media and form Whatsapp groups for mandal, Assembly and district levels to widen the base.
Many leaders asked him not to give priority to ‘parachute leaders’, who defected recently and were lobbying for tickets. They urged him to announce names of candidates early so that they could get time to campaign.
Speaking to Deccan Chronicle, Rathod said he would personally visit the Assembly constituencies and resolve differences if any among the leaders in the next 15 days. He insisted on creating mandal-level and booth-level committees.
He said it will take some more time to announce the first list of the party candidates due to various reasons as AICC surveys are still going on.
DCC presidents Vishwaprasad, Sajid Khan and Srihari Rao and TPCC general secretaries Gandrath Sujatha, Vedma Bojju, and Sattu Mallesh were present.
Ticket aspirants including Sanjeev Reddy and Kandi Srinivas Reddy (Adilabad), Ganesh Rathod and Kirshna Reddy (Sirpur-T), Marasakola Saraswati, Ganesh Rathod and Shyam Naik (Asifabad), Charulatha Rathod, Purka Bapurao, Pendore Prabhakar, Bharath Chowhan, Shravan Naik and Anil (Khanapur), Vijay Kumar Reddy (Mudhole), Naresh Jadhav, Godam Ganesh, Ade Gajender, Vannala Ashok (Boath) and Durga Bhavani from Bellampalli were also present.
