PM Modi's Telangana Visit Itinerary Confirmed
Hyderabad: With the visit of PM Narendra Modi having been confirmed and his itinerary revealed BJP leaders are gearing up to welcome him. The visit of the PM however is an official one.
Revealing the details D.K. Aruna, national vice president, BJP said, “People will come from all across erstwhile Mahabubnagar district. We are hoping the Bhoothpur ground where the meeting is set to happen will be attended by 1.5 lakh people. As of now the various development programmes which are going to be inaugurated have not been communicated to us. Doubling of railway lines and national highways have happened. Bharat mala works are happening in the district. The foundation stone for a bridge on Somasila could be laid”.
Once constructed the cable bridge will cut the distance between Hyderabad and Tirupati by 80 kms. Currently the distance between them is 580 kms. The Somasila-Siddeshwaram cable stay-cum-suspension bridge has been a two-decade old demand.
A.P. Jithender Reddy, former MP from Mahabubnagar said, “The people are waiting for the PM’s visit who has successfully completed G-20, passed women’s reservation bill, hoisted our flag on the Moon and he is coming to Mahabubnagar now. Nearly 1.5 lakh people are going to attend the meeting. People will come from 14 assembly constituencies. He could lay the foundation stone for some works the details of which are being worked out.”
Even as the leaders claim they will mobilize 1.5 lakh people the SI of Bhoothpur police station P. Srinivasulu says, “The ground where the meeting will take place can accommodate one lakh people. It’s an open agricultural land owned by private persons. The NOC to be obtained for the lands and other things are being looked at by the collector’s office as it is an official programme.”
