Two BRS MLAs likely to join Congress
Adilabad: Speculations are rife in political circles here that a few BRS MLAs who were not given party tickets and some senior BJP leaders are likely to join the Congress. They are reportedly in touch with TPCC president Revanth Reddy.
Boath BRS MLA Rathod Bapurao is in touch with the Congress party's top leadership and is likely to join it soon. Already, Khanapur BRS MLA Rekha Naik camped in Delhi and met a few Congress leaders including TPCC president Revanth Reddy. She sought the party ticket from Khanapur.
Rekha Naik is determined to defeat BRS candidate Bhukya Johnson Naik in Khanapur.
Rekha is reportedly taking help from some Karnataka leaders to influence the Congress high command.
Rathod Bapurao is disappointed as he did not get an appointment from Minister KT Rama Rao to meet him though the former camped for three days in Hyderabad.
Meanwhile, former Adilabad MP Godam Nagesh suddenly turned silent after he was denied the party ticket from the Boath assembly constituency. The ticket went to Neredigonda BRS ZPTC Anil Jadhav.
A senior BJP leader is also likely to join the Congress party. He is not actively participating in the party programmes. He got a ticket assurance from the Congress for Boath assembly constituency, it is hinted.
