Andhra Pradesh minister Ambati Rambabu had a close shave after wheat bags from a truck passing by fell on his convoy vehicle.
According to information, the minister’s convoy was on way to Khammam from Aswaraopet when a lorry carrying wheat bags was travelling to Visakhapatnam from Nanded.
When the vehicles reached Honda Showroom on the outskirts of Sattupalli, some sticks in another vehicle travelling in the opposite direction hit the wheat bags and even snapped the ropes tied around them.
Soon two wheat bags from the lorry fell on the minister’s car bonnet and the alert driver, immediately applied brakes, to avert the mishap.
After the incident, Ambati Rambabu headed to Khammam in another vehicle. Following a complaint by the minister, the Sattupalli police took the lorry driver into custody.
