Hyderabad: Even as its second list is awaitd, the BJP announced A.P. Mithun Kumar Reddy, son of former MP A.P. Jithender Reddy, as its candidate from Mahbubnagar.
Asked why only one candidate was named, a leader said it was a bid to please some leaders to keep the flock together.
Another source said the delay was because it was unclear who would contest: The father or the son. The announcement brings into question the party's repeated claim about not being a family party.
