9 months sought for Telugu Desam office
Guntur: Minster for IT and panchayat raj and TD national secretary N. Lokesh said that Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu is very strict when it comes to discipline and other affairs in the party, implementation of development schemes. He appealed to Mr Naidu to give him 9-months time to complete the construction of TD national party office at Atmakur in Guntur district. He participated in the foundation stone laying programme for the TD national party office in 3.6 acres, beside NH-16, at 5.17 am on Sunday. Mr Naidu directed completion of the TD office in six months but Mr Lokesh said 6 months is very less and appealed to Mr Naidu to give him 9 months time.
Mr Lokesh reminded that Mr Naidu started training programme for the party cadre at the NTR Trust Bhavan, offering free boarding and lodging facilities. He said the TD offered aid to the families of 2,108 party activists, who died in accidents from 2014 and said that the TD was also sponsoring the education of children through model schools.
Responding to the appeal of Mr Naidu about donation, Vinukonda MLA and Guntur district TD president G.V. Anjaneyulu announced Rs 11 lakh donation, TD youth leader D. Avinash announced Rs 10 lakh, AP Brahmin Welfare Corporation chairman V. Anand Surya announced Rs 1.50 lakh donation. Union minister Y. Sujana Chowdary announced one month salary and several other leaders announced donations to the construction of TD national office on the occasion.
