Hyderabad: Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) president A. Revanth Reddy said on Monday that only Congress has the strength to end the rule of feudal lords, and demolish feudal forts that have been offered by the BRS government for the last 10 years.
“The land of Kodangal has taught me not to surrender to anyone even if I am beheaded. If you stand by me, it is my responsibility to bend down whether it is Narendra Modi or KCR. This Kodangal gadda (land) is my adda (hangout) which made your son grow to a position to lead the state," he remarked.
Revanth Reddy wsa addressing public meetings in Kodangal, where he is contesting, and Dornakal on Monday. He said that Kodangal gave him courage and taught him to fight for the cause of farmers, students, and the unemployed for 20 years.
"I am the tree that you planted in Kodangal 20 years ago. KCR, KTR and Harish Rao are now coming to Kodangal carrying an axe on their shoulders. They are trying to cut down this tree that you have grown," the PCC chief said.
“Will you let them do that? Or will you trample them to the ground? KTR, who came from Sircilla, said that he would adopt Kodangal. I am declaring that the Kodangal constituency itself will adopt Telangana. The Congress government will provide employment opportunities to the unemployed youth and give support price for the paddy grown by the farmers,” Revanth Reddy said.
Chandrashekhar Rao said that he would build double-bedroom houses to all the poor but not give them to anyone, he alleged.
Revanth Reddy accused Chandrashekhar Rao of looting lakhs of crores and grabbing 10,000 acres of land in the last 10 years. "The Congress government will build a double-bedroom house in Cherlapally jail for sure for Chandrashekhar Rao," Revanth Reddy said.
He said the six guarantees will be implemented when the Congress comes to power and expressed confidence that the Congress flag would fly on Kodangal soil after the Assembly polls.
Revanth Reddy criticised that the Congress gave political opportunities to Redya Naik and his daughter in Dornakal, but they defected from the party to join the BRS and deceived Congress workers. He said that the BRS has done an injustice by not bringing Krishna waters to Dornakal.
Revanth Reddy alleged that there was a conspiracy to deprive the Lambada children of this region of education. All the mafias in the Dornakal constituency like sand mafia, and rice mafia belong to Redya Naik’s family, he alleged adding that Redya Naik's family is looting this area like KCR's family.
