Huge Turnout for CM's Janata Darshan, Senior Citizens Also Make a Beeline
Bengaluru: Senior citizens turn up to Chief Minister Siddaramaiah’s ‘Janata Darshan’ programme to hear and redress their grievances at his official ‘Krishna’ in Bengaluru city on Monday and most of the complaints which came to the Chief Minister was regarding the revenue department and seeking help for medical treatment.
It was the first Janata Darshan programme of the Chief Minister which drew people from across the State and the grievances of the public were given on the spot solution by speaking to the officials concerned while some other complaints were directed to the officials concerned to resolve the issues.
For the convenience of the public, officials concerned had created a separate Quick Response (QR) code in which interested public can scan the code and bring their grievances to the notice of the Chief Minister which would be treated as a complaint received at the ‘Janata Darshan’ programme.
Among the numerous complaints attended by the Chief Minister at the programme which got on the spot solution was to Venkataraju, suffering from kidney ailment and on his behalf his brother Basavaraju made an appeal to the Chief Minister on the spot sanctioned Rs 1 lakh towards medical expenses.
A complaint was received by the Chief Minister from Mahadevamma, a resident of Tiptur taluk in Tumakuru district and she brought to the notice of the Chief Minister that her son had cheated her by not giving her share in the property. Siddaramaiah called Tumakuru Superintendent of Police and directed him to get justice for Mahadevamma.
An elderly woman Rajamma from Ramnagar told the Chief Minister that her agricultural lands have been allegedly encroached upon by her brother-in-law and Siddaramaiah spoke to the Ramnagar SP and asked him to attend the Rajamma’s complaint and get her land freed.
Siddaramaiah sanctioned Rs two lakh towards treatment of six-month child Meghashree who is a heart patient. Her mother Anjali Kumbar made an appeal to the Chief Minister.
A resident of Nagamangala in Mandya Parandamaiah (96) told the Chief Minister that his fields have been encroached upon for the construction of a service road and asked him to get it freed. Siddaramaiah directed the Mandya Deputy Commissioner to do the needful. The Chief Minister praised Parandamaiah over his physical fitness even at his ripe age and wished him a long life.
Since, there was a huge turnout for the programme, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah had his lunch at the public grievances redressal spot and continued attending the public grievances.
