Case against BRS MLC for ‘abusive’ remarks against Governor
HYDERABAD: Saroornagar police have sought legal opinion on a complaint lodged by BJP Saroornagar corporator Akula Srivani against BRS MLC Padi Kaushik Reddy for allegedly making derogatory remarks against Governor Tamilisai Soundarajan.
Srivani in her complaint said that Kaushik Reddy had used highly objectionable language against the Governor. "It was very disturbing to me and as a woman I felt very uncomfortable with the language used by him," she said.
Saying that such comments would encourage crime against women, Srivani sought a criminal case against Kaushik Reddy.
Srivani had earlier lodged a complaint with Hyderabad cybercrime wing against Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao and minister K.T. Rama Rao, for their alleged derogatory comments against the Prime Minister and Union ministers. Her complaint was closed due to lack of evidence.
