Shah hails CM Bommai for Savarkar\'s Belagavi portrait
Mangaluru: Union Home minister Amit Shah lauded Karnataka Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai for installing the portrait of V.D. Savarkar in the legislature at Belagavi.
Speaking at the Jana Sankalpa Yatra at MK Hubballi in Belagavi district, he urged people to ensure BJP’s victory in 16 seats out of the 18 in the district. He remembered Rani Channamma of Kittur, Sri Basavanna, and the seers and mutts of the region.
“Every vote for JD(S) will help the Congress,” he said.
“Modiji has provided various projects for the poor. As many as 3 crore people got houses and power and 10 crore people have got toilets in their houses,” he said.
Amit Shah asked what the Congress and JD(S) have given to the poor. Shah told people that the Centre has ensured everybody in India was provided free vaccine against Covid.
The government has provided gas cylinders to 13 crore people. Since the lockdown, all the poor families in the country are able to get 5 kg of free rice, he said Shah spoke on the importance the BJP government gave to the upliftment of the poor, backward, Dalits, and Adivasis.
He also highlighted the initiatives of the Modi government and called on youth to help India rank first in the world.
