ECI Likely to Release Notification for TS Assembly Elections in October Second Week

HYDERABAD: The Election Commission of India is likely to notify the elections for the third Legislative Assembly of Telangana in the second week of October, after a review by a team of its officials in the first week of the next month.

In 2018, the Election Commission had notified the elections on October 6 which were held in the first week of December.

Sources said the ECI officials are expected to obtain and examine all reports prepared by State Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) Vikas Raj and senior officials before finalising the election date.

Had deleted 10,35,935 duplicate entries after vetting 22,04,663 photo similar entries, utilising a specialised software.
