BJP to Launch Stir Against Rising Prices of Essentials
Kakinada: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) district unit has decided to take up agitation against rising prices of essential commodities and demanded that the government reduce the prices immediately.
Presiding over the party district committee meeting held here on Saturday, BJP district president Ch. Rama Kumar said that all sections of people including teachers, employees, unemployees and women have been expressing their dissatisfaction over the government and its anti-government policies.
He said the government has failed to provide quality education to students and even unable to supply water to the paddy crop in kharif season.
BJP leader G. Satyanarayana said the YSRC government was trying to win the upcoming elections by wooing voters and distributing money through the volunteers. But, people have already decided to defeat the YSRCP in the coming elections.
BJP official spokespersons Yarlagadda Ram Kumar said the party leaders have even no time to address the people’s problems and totally failed to develop infrastructure facilities in colonies.
Party district spokesperson Duvvuri Subrahmanyam also criticised the YSRC for trying to stifle the voice of people, in particular Opposition parties. Party senior leaders Mootha Navin, Chitneedi Srinivas, K. Gangadhar and T. Padmaja were present.
